We are thrilled to share that BioFiltro’s nature-based wastewater treatment technology is at the heart of a new multi-year sustainability agreement between dairy giants Danone and Leprino. This partnership aims to slash on-farm emissions by 50% by 2030 and the first project includes installing a BioFiltro system on a California dairy farm.

Happy Earth Day from BioFiltro! For Earth Day, we’re showcasing our zero waste solution. The filter media and worm bedding in our BIDA vermifiltration system is typically wood chips or another low-value carbon media. To protect California from wildfires, the US Forest Service implements projects focused on forest health and fuel reduction, including thinning, prescribed fires, and fuel break creation. BioFiltro takes these cleared logs and uses them in our wastewater treatment system, where we are then generating clean water and vermicompost to boost soil health…
